1 Killed, 3 Injured in West Hollywood High-Speed Rollover Crash

A woman was killed and three people were critically injured Friday morning in a high-speed rollover crash in West Hollywood.

A friend of the woman identified her as 22-year-old Nicole Alas, a student at East Los Angeles College. Alas was a passenger in the car when it crashed.

Sheriff's deputies and Los Angeles County Fire responded to the crash at around 11:55 p.m. Thursday near Stanley and Fountain avenues, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's West Hollywood Station.

The driver of an Infiniti coupe was speeding westbound on Fountain Avenue and clipped another car, a light pole and a side wall near a house, causing it to overturn -- ejecting a woman from the front seat who died at the scene.

Three other people were critically injured, but are now in stable condition.

Investigators said the driver was going at least 80 miles per hour on Fountain Avenue when the car crashed.

Authorities were investigating the crash as a possible DUI.
