YAPPY HOUR AND ADOPTED DOG REUNION: The party is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 25 at the Rancho Mirage resort, and both families who've adopted a hound at the hotel and those who simply want to show up along with their woofer are invited. What's on the menu? Drink specials for the humans will include the Regal Beagle (think peach Schnapps, whiskey, and sweet and sour) while four-footed guests will nosh upon Canine Chicken Casserole and other savory treats. Area vendors of the pooch-focused sort will be at the hotel, too, with wares that help families gussy up their dog in all sorts of leashes, snacks, and such. The time? It's from 4 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 25. And if you and your cutie can't make it, but you intend on a desert overnight soon, peek at the pet perks available to Westin Mission Hills guests throughout the year. Yep, a Westin Heavenly Dog Bed'll be in the room and a Patio Pooch Menu available to your pal; check it all out now.
