Wheelchair-Bound Man Killed Outside Riverside Barber Shop

The victim was identified as a transient who was known to ask people in the area for spare change, police say

A wheelchair-bound man was beaten to death outside a Riverside barber shop Sunday morning, police said.

The assault was reported about 4:35 a.m. at a business complex in the 3300 block of Iowa Avenue, according to the Riverside Police Department.

The man died at the scene. He was identified as a transient who was known to ask people in the area for spare change, police said.
