One Dead in Single-Vehicle Crash, Driver Suspected of DUI

CHP has not ruled out the possibility that the car may have been involved in street racing.

One woman is dead and three other people believe to be women were transported to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash early Thursday morning in Willowbrook, the California Highway Patrol said.

The woman who died is believed to be in her 20s. The driver who was hospitalized will be arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Accordng to CHP, the collision occurred at 1:05 a.m. near the intersection of South Central Avenue and East 125th Street.

The car hit a tree at a high-rate of speed, CHP said.

CHP has not ruled out the possibility that the car may have been involved in street racing.

Witnesses say that there was a second car in the area that was also driving fast.
