A string of street robberies in the Wilshire area along the Fairfax Avenue Corridor occurred within a two-hour period Wednesday night, according to an LAPD news release.

The same two suspects are responsible for the spree, which began around 7 p.m. near Beverly Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, according to the LAPD.

Targeting men on foot, the suspects demanded cash, wallets, cell phones and other personal property.

They allegedly told victims they were armed, but no weapons were seen, according to police. Half of the eight reported offenses were reported as attempted robberies and the other half robberies.

Until they have more information, detectives “want to remind the public to stay aware of their surroundings and attempt to walk in pairs while walking in well-lit areas,” an LAPD news release said.
