A woman was arrested for allegedly pouring hot cooking oil on a man and woman while the two slept in a Fontana home, leaving one of the victims in critical condition, police said.

Investigators said 25-year-old Chrystal Dunn was taken into custody in connection with the attack, which took place about 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The two victims, a 42-year-old man and 26-year old woman, drove themselves to the emergency room, police said. They each suffered second- and third-degree burns. The man was burned on the right side of his torso and the woman suffered burns to more than 17 percent of her body, including her face and neck, police said.
