An elderly woman died in a mobile home fire in Castaic Sunday morning, firefighters said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched to the fire in the 30200 block of Heavenly Way at 3:11 a.m., officials said.
A 73-year-old woman died in the fire, a supervisor said. An 81-year-old man, possibly her husband, was transported to an area hospital with first- and second-degree burns on about 15 percent of his body.
They were found on a hospital-type bed, according to the supervisor.
The fire was out by 3:50 a.m., a dispatcher said.
