Woman Found Dead Inside Downtown L.A. Hotel

The Madison Hotel offers month-to-month, single room occupancy (SRO) housing for lower-income residents.

A woman was found dead inside a room at the Madison Hotel in downtown Los Angeles Friday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police received a call around 10:30 p.m. about a screaming woman at 423 E. 7th Street. The caller reported hearing an argument from inside a nearby room.

Upon arrival, police found the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A person of interest has been detain, according to LAPD.

LAPD are working to get a search warrant to gather more evidence.
