Investigators believe a man who went on a deadly shooting spree in Southern California, killing one person and critically injuring two more, fatally shot himself when his car broke down in Barstow Friday.
John Revels, 64, of Lancaster was identified as the suspect in the killings, according to the Hawthorne Police department. Coroner's officials have not yet confirmed his identity.
Investigators said the suspect was connected to a shooting that occurred in the 12900 block of Doty Avenue in Hawthorne Thursday after they identified Revels' car leaving the scene.
Two men were wounded from the shooting; one of them declared brain dead and is on life support. Officials believe the victims possibly knew the suspect.
Revels' vehicle was identified as the suspect's vehicle in a shooting on 36th Place in Los Angeles that left one man in critical condition. Investigators believe the victim to be Revels' brother.
LA County Sheriff's deputies responded to the suspect's house in the 15800 block of Greenrock Avenue in Lancaster where concerned relatives led detectives to the body of another shooting victim.
A 63-year-old woman was found dead in her living room, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

It was unclear when the woman was shot. Investigators said the victim was related to the shooter.

A motive in the shootings is unknown.
