Woman Killed, Man Critically Wounded in Lennox Shooting

A woman was fatally shot and a man was in critical condition following a shooting in Lennox, deputies said.

The shooting was reported around 8:30 p.m. in the 10800 block of Condon Avenue. Deputies found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Detectives said the victims were sitting on a park bench when they were approached by a man and an argument began. The victims walked away and another man approached them. Both men pulled out handguns and began shooting at the victims, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Detectives said the female victim was shot in the upper body and the male victim was shot multiple times in the upper torso.

Both victims were transported to a hospital where the woman was pronounced dead. The male victim was in crtical condition, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The alleged shooters were described as two men of Pacific Islander descent. One of the men entered a white four-door sedan and the other entered a green mini van. Both vehicles fled eastbound on Lennox Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. 

The shooting was under investigation.
