A 23-year-old woman died of a gunshot wound early Friday after she was dropped off at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank hospital, police said.
Authorities said later Friday that the gunshot would was self-inflicted.
The driver contacted the hospital emergency room about 4 a.m. and hospital personnel got the woman out of the car before the driver drove off, police Sgt. Tracy Sanchez said. The woman was pronounced dead shortly after she arrived at the emergency room.
Her name was being withheld pending notification of family.
