Witness With Crowbar Chases Man Who Stabbed Woman at Taco Truck

A good Samaritan wielding a crowbar chased away a man who stabbed a woman twice while she was waiting in line in front of a taco truck Wednesday night in East Los Angeles.

The stabbing occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Clela Avenue and Whittier Boulevard, where the woman was standing in line for tacos, according to the sheriff's East Los Angeles Station.

A man approached her and stabbed her twice in the neck area in front of multiple witnesses, authorities said.

The good Samaritan chased him away with a crowbar and was able to pull the man away from the woman, authorities said.

Off-duty sheriff's deputies were in the area and took the man into custody and will be booked on charges of attempted murder, sheriff's deputies said.
