Heartwarming: Police Donate Diapers to Baby of Slain Palm Springs Officer

After the heartbreaking news emerged that two officers had been killed in the line of duty, a police department and Huggies teamed up Tuesday to donate diapers to the baby girl of one of the officers.

Palm Springs Officer Lesley Zerebny, 27, was gunned down responding to a family disturbance call at a Palm Springs home.

One of the most heartbreaking revelations released by the Palms Springs police chief was that Zerebny had just returned to work after giving birth, leaving her 4-month-old daughter behind.

Her husband, a deputy, is now left to care for their child.

To help out, the Chino Hills Police Department teamed up with Huggies to donate a bundle of diapers to the family.

The amazing gesture comes days after officers reached out to the other slain officer's family.

Officer Jose Gilbert Vega, 63, was gunned down alongside Zerebny Oct. 8.
