A volunteer school aide was arrested in La Verne Thursday on suspicion of having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old pupil.
Anthony Michael Valdez, 21, of Ontario is being held on the charge of lewd act with a child under 14-years-old years old, La Verne Police Department said.
Bail for Valdez, who served as a volunteer aide at Ramona Middle School, was set at $100,000.
The victim, who is now 14 years old, alleged the unlawful sex began when she was 13-years-old and the suspect was 20, police said. It was also confirmed by investigators she was a pupil at the school at the time.
The investigation is ongoing, and it is currently unknown at this time if there are any additional victims.
