A man allegedly responsible for three robberies in the City of Ventura was identified by police and the FBI as Daniel Lopez Jr., better known as the “Wigout Bandit.”

Officials say Lopez allegedly robbed two banks on Aug. 16, 2012, the first robbery occurred at the US Bank on Victoria Avenue and the second one at the Chase Bank on Victoria Avenue as well. The third robbery on Sept. 28 was at Rabbo Bank on Mills Road. Lopez, 40, is also suspected of other crimes throughout the City of Ventura.

He was termed the “Wigout Bandit” because he wore different wigs when allegedly committing the robberies and is considered to be armed and dangerous, police said. He is known to frequent motels in Ventura, Oxnard and Santa Barbara.

If you know the whereabouts of Daniel Lopez, Ventura police are asking to contact them or the FBI.
