He faces 26 years to life in state prison.

A Hesperia man has been found guilty of stabbing his girlfriend to death inside a Burbank home in 2015, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.

Deputy District Attorney Fernanda Barreto said Timothy Aguilar Andrade, 32, was found guilty Thursday of one count of first-degree murder with a knife-use allegation Andrade is scheduled to be sentenced on June 6 in Department G of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Pasadena Branch.

The defendant faces 26 years to life in state prison.

On Aug. 23, 2015, Andrade killed Brandi Carrasco, 35, by stabbing her in the neck inside a bedroom of a house in the 1900 block of Richard Street where they were both staying, prosecutors said.

The case was investigated by the Burbank Police Department.

In 2015, another man was arrested in connection with the slaying after he gave conflicting information to police. He was later released, and Andrade was arrested for the crime.
