Car-to-Car Shooting Leaves Woman in Critical Condition

Police were investigating a car-to-car shooting in South LA Friday, May 23, 2014, that left a woman hospitalized in critical condition, police said.

A car-to-car shooting in South Los Angeles Friday afternoon left a passenger in critical condition, police said.

The shooting happened at 53rd and Figueroa streets about 2:43 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Gunfire erupted from a small four-door black sedan and struck a female passenger in the other car, police said.

Police believe the shooting is gang-related, officials said.
