Victims Meet Man Via Dating Website Before Sexual Assault: Police

Two women said they met a man through a dating website before they became incapacitated and were sexually assaulted, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said Tuesday.

The 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape.

The first victim told police that she had met Alejandro Martinez, a Long Beach resident, on dating website Match.com and invited him to the second victim’s home on Jan. 12.

He arrived at 1:20 a.m. at the home in the 6000 block of Belluno Place in Rancho Cucamonga, authorities said.

Both of the women said they became incapacitated after he arrived.

One of the women woke up at 5:30 a.m. to find the man sexually assaulting her. She said she didn’t consent and Martinez hurriedly left the home.

Both women said they could not remember what happened before the victim waking up to the sexual assault. The women called the Rancho Cucamonga police.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that the man sexually assaulted both women.

Police, with the help of one of the women, convinced Martinez to come back to Rancho Cucamonga and he was arrested in a Claim Jumper restaurant parking lot.

He was being held on $250,000 bail.
