A driver armed with a gun was taken into custody Thursday night following a brief pursuit that started on freeways near the San Fernando Valley.
The chase made its way to the northbound 101 Freeway in Van Nuys before it continued on the 405 Freeway at Sherman Way.
The driver was a man with a gun, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
After a brief -- but dangerous -- chase, the driver ran out of the car and was taken into custody near Sherman Way and Sepulveda Boulevard in Van Nuys.
