The driver of a white pickup truck and its passenger surrendered to police after a chase that wound through downtown Los Angeles and Silver Lake on Friday night.
LAPD patrol cars started following the truck just before 7 p.m. as the driver sped through downtown LA surface streets and drove the wrong way on one-way roads.
The truck got onto the freeway and quickly exited back onto surface streets. The driver then headed onto narrow residential streets of Silver Lake as patrol cars followed behind.
The truck stopped at Hoover Street and Bellevue Avenue, where the driver and a passenger surrendered.
