Dust Storm Triggers Multiple-Vehicle Pileup in Lucerne Valley

A dust storm in Lucerne Valley triggered a multiple-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, San Bernardino County Fire officials said.

The wreck occurred on Highway 18 at Rabbit Springs Road just after 3 p.m.

Paramedics responding to the crash said 10 vehicles and two tractor trailers were involved in the wreck.

Witnesses said the dust storm that yielded zero visibility. 

Fire officials said all of the injuries were minor.

A dry lake bed next to the highway was kicking up a lot of dirt as 50 mph winds blasted through the area.
