Dead Man Found in Car at La Cañada Flintridge Parking Lot

A man was found dead in a car Friday in a La Cañada Flintridge parking lot.

Authorities were called at 7:25 p.m. to the 900 block of Foothill Boulevard, near Chevy Chase Drive, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

He was later identified as Travis Peterson, 40, by Lt. David Smith of the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. The cause of death had not yet been determined.

There were no obvious signs of foul play, Schrader said.

Detectives and county coroner's officials were investigating the death.
