13 Hurt When Metro Train Collides With Van in Downtown LA

At least 13 people were hurt after a Metro Blue Line train collided with a van Tuesday morning, officials said.

The crash was reported about 9:55 a.m. in the 300 block of Washington Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

At least 13 train riders were hurt in the crash, fire officials said. Two people were in serious condition.

The driver of the van may have been running a red light on Maple Avenue when the train crashed into it, fire officials said.
