An officer shot and killed man who may have shot another person in Anaheim on Saturday, police said.
The shooting occurred in the 2000 block of W. Cris Street at 4:30 p.m.
"We could see a man on top of another man, like kicking and the other guy was on the ground," Jennifer Cano, neighbor and witness, said. Cano said she heard a gunshot and looked outside.
A police helicopter spotted the suspected gunman, who was standing over the victim who had a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.
The gunman then may have fired shots at the helicopter, but missed, Anaheim police said.
An officer on the ground fired at the gunman and he was killed.
Police were also investigating in the 900 block of Roberts Street in connection with the shooting.
A weapon was recovered from the scene.
