Air Gunfire Damages Vehicles in Pasadena, Police Searching for Shooters

At least 30 vehicles in a residential part of Pasadena were damaged by pellet or BB gunfire Friday night, police said.

It's the latest and most extensive in a string of similar shooting incidents in the area, according to Pasadena Police Department Lt. Jason Clawson. Police are searching for people who fled the area, in the 1200 block of North Mar Vista Avenue, in a white vehicle at around 8:45 p.m. after damaging the vehicles with BB or pellet guns.

"It was a very fun surprise, just getting back from college," said Kristin Valerio, who discovered her car window shattered at 9 p.m. Her father's car was hit as well.

A store window in the 300 block of Orange Grove Avenue was also damaged in the shooting spree, Clawson said.

"Everyone was really kind and polite," Valerio said. "So many people('s cars) got hit they were trying to have all the cops out so no one was waiting."
