A group of passengers and a driver surrendered to police Thursday night in front of LAPD headquarters after leading officers on a chase through downtown Los Angeles.
The chase began near Robertson and Pico boulevards in LA's Westside before heading downtown, Los Angeles police said.
The driver weaved between cars on the freeway before going onto surface streets and jumping curbs.
Police struck the driver and spun the car out, forcing it to stop right in front of the LAPD headquarters building. Several passengers got on the ground, and police took the driver into custody.
