The reward in the case of a South Pasadena boy who went missing in April has increased to $30,000 as authorities and his family continue looking for answers surrounding his disappearance.
Aramazd Andressian Jr.'s mother supplemented the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor's reward of $20,000 with $10,000 raised through the GoFundMe page "Finding Aramazd." Her 5-year-old child was last seen at Disneyland on April 20 with his father, Aramazd Andressian Sr., who was found unconscious at Arroyo Seco Park two days later and could not account for his son.
This marks the second increase in the reward for information about the missing boy after the Board of Supervisors doubled their initial offering of $10,000 in May.
The boy's father has said that he does not remember what happened to his son and has admitted to taking prescription medicine that he was not prescribed prior to the child's disappearance, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. After the incident, investigators found that the man's vehicle was doused with gasoline and found matches, a gas container and a gas-soaked rag in and around the car.
Aramazd Andressian Sr. was held in jail for three days on $10 million bail, but was released due to lack of evidence.
The search for the child has taken place across several counties in Southern California and involved several different police and sheriff's departments. On Saturday, investigators returned to the Lake Cachuma area in Santa Barbara County to search for evidence regarding his whereabouts.
The missing boy is white, 4-foot-1 and 55 pounds. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a small mole on the bottom of his right shoulder.
