With classes starting back up in August, the Santa Ana Unified School District wants its students to be prepared, so they will be hosting a Back-to-School Bash with free school supplies and more.

The annual bash will be hosted at the Santa Ana Public Schools Sports Complex at 1801 S. Greenville St. and will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.

Students and their families will be provided with essential information about the many programs and resources available to them in their community. Free backpacks, school supplies and other much-needed items will be given to students to assure they get off to a successful new school year, which starts Aug. 12.

In addition to free goodies, the fun-filled event will have live music, provide help with registration, have fun games for students and their families, and will have free giveaways. There will also be free health and vision screenings on site.

It's important to note that in order to receive the free backpack, the student must be present.
