Warehouse Worker Killed in Santa Fe Springs Fire

A large blaze at a warehouse in Santa Fe Springs that sent smoke billowing into the air left a worker dead, fire officials said.

A warehouse worker was killed in the fire that first was reported as an explosion from the building that distributes beauty items like hair products.

Firefighters responded to the Health First Medical building at 10015 Pioneer Boulevard at 3:18 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, the warehouse was engulfed, and the blaze had burned through the roof.

A warehouse worker died in the fire, and another was treated at the scene, Santa Fe Springs Fire Chief Michael Crook said.
