Bus Carrying Children With Special Needs Involved in Three-Vehicle North Hills Crash

The truck flew up in the air and landed on a nearby Chevy

A bus carrying children with special needs slammed into a truck Monday morning, blocking a busy intersection in North Hills.

The accident occurred around 10 a.m. after the truck ran a red light at the intersection of Lassen and Haskell streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Witness Mike Meadows said the pickup truck then flew in the air, landing on a Chevy that was waiting at the light.

The driver of the Chevy was transported to a nearby hospital for injuries and their condition is unknown. No other injuries were reported from the three-vehicle accident.

"It's a miracle no one else was hurt," Meadows said.
