According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, about 15,000 blankets with the tags marked "Date of Manufacture 04/17/2012, Lot No. 124" are affected by the recall.

A recall of approximately 15,000 wearable baby blankets are being recalled by Minnesota-based BreathableBaby, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.

According to the manufacturer, the recall of BreathableSacks was announced after it was discovered that the zipper pull tabs and sliders can detach and posing a choking hazard to infants.

BreathableBaby said only the blankets with the tags marked "Date of Manufacture 04/17/2012, Lot No. 124" are affected by the recall.  The tags can be found sewn into the wearable blanket where the infant's right foot would be located.

The recalled blankets come in three colors, kiwi Whoo, pink Hip and blue Splash, and have an owl, hippo or an elephant stitched onto the left chest area.

According to the CPSC, no injuries have been reported in connection with the recalled products.

Anyone who purchased one of the items is asked to immediately stop using the blanket and to call 877-827-4442 to request a replacement.  Additionally, those who purchased the blankets can fill out a form on breathablebaby.com to request a prepaid FedEx label to return the recalled merchandise and request a replacement.
