Four young thieves who stole more than $5,000 worth of hair extensions from a North Miami Beach beauty store have been arrested, police said.
The suspects — who include a 16-year-old, a 14-year-old and two 11-year-olds — were arrested Tuesday at the North Miami Beach Police Department.
They were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center for processing Tuesday, police said.
All four appeared in court Wednesday where three were released on house arrest. The fourth suspect, the one who police said had the gun, will remain in juvenile detention.
The three on house arrest received a stern warning from Judge Orlando Prescott.
"Home detention means you do not leave the house but to attend school and come to court," he said. "If you should violate then you come back to court and serve the 21 days that you would have served originally."
Prosecutors said the kids ripped off a Sports Authority in Aventura on the same day they hit the beauty store.

"He's a good kid, just hangs with the wrong crowd," the mother of one of the suspects said after Wednesday's hearing. "He never do that before."
Police said the group took the hair extensions from a storage room in the back of the store at 1601 Northeast 163rd Street on Saturday evening.
When store employees confronted them, one of the suspects pulled a gun from underneath his shirt, and all four fled on foot, police said.
The incident was captured on the store's surveillance system.
