Ferguson Braces for Grand Jury Decision

The town of Ferguson, Missouri, is anxiously awaiting the grand jury's decision on whether or not to indict white police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown. Businesses have boards on their windows, some schools have cancelled classes, and President Obama has called for calm in fear of protests after the decision is declared. Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon on Monday declared a state of emergency and activated the National Guard and the FBI on Friday sent an unspecified number of agents to the area to assist local police. Secretary of State John Kerry said Saturday “serious gaps” remain as world leaders try to reach a deal on Iran’s nuclear program ahead of a Monday deadline, NBC News reported.
