Aereo App Battles TV Networks in Supreme Court

A fight between TV networks and an online startup that relays their shows to customers for a fee went to the Supreme Court on Tuesday. Networks claim that Aereo, a two-year-old service that charges $8 to $12 a month to stream programming to tablets, smartphones and computers, violates copyright law and amounts to theft. Don't get too excited. Powdered alcohol may still be a thing of the future despite a report last week that the product, dubbed Palcohol by its maker, had gotten federal approval. The maker of the so-called "instant cocktail" yanked its license application and agreed to surrender its label approvals Monday, and a spokesman for the agency that had reportedly issued the approvals told The Associated Press they had been issued in error.
