A 67-year-old tourist from California died following a scuba diving excursion in the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to authorities there.
Police said in a statement Tuesday that Kathleen Wright complained about breathing problems after surfacing during a scuba diving trip in St. Croix.
Wright was accompanied by her husband and a friend at the Salt River Bay National Historical Park and Ecological Preserve, police said.
Authorities said they did not have her hometown.
