Man Ties Bed Sheets Together to Escape Police, Plunges to Death From Window: Police

A man suspected of robbing an Uber driver plunged to his death after climbing out of a Brooklyn window using a rope made of bed sheets tied together, authorities said.

NYPD officers went to an apartment in Fort Greene early Tuesday evening looking for the man who was wanted in connection to the robbery of an Uber driver, law enforcement sources said.

The man, who has not been identified, tied five bed sheets together and climbed out of an 11th floor window to evade the cops, police said.

While climbing down the building, the sheets gave way and he fell, officials said.

He was taken to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident remains under investigation.
