1 Dead, Dozens Hurt When Truck, Tourist Train Collide

One person is dead and another 66 wounded after a logging truck collided with a passenger-filled tour train on a scenic railway in eastern West Virginia, emergency officials said Friday. Twenty-one people were taken by ambulance to the Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, W.Va., according to an emergency official, and of those, three were in critical condition and 18 serious. Another 45 people were taken to the hospital by bus with minor injures. The identity of the person killed has not yet been released. Authorities still aren't sure how the collision occurred, but they believed the truck struck the train, since two of its cars were overturned.
