Turkish Official: 2 Vice News Journalists Freed From Jail

A Turkish government official says two Vice News journalists who were arrested on terror-related charges have been released from prison.

The official said Thursday that their assistant remains jailed pending the conclusion of an investigation.

The two British journalists and their Turkey-based assistant were detained last week in Diyarbakir, the main city in Turkey's mostly Kurdish southeast, where renewed fighting has killed scores of people.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with Turkish government rules.
