Wal-Mart Recalls Rival Griddles Over Shock Hazard

Wal-Mart has recalled about 330,000 electronic griddles due to a shock hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The recall involves Rival brand electric griddles with a model number XJ-14207. The griddles were made in China and sold exclusively in Wal-Mart stores nationwide during the last half of 2015. They sold for about $20.

The CPSC report said the heating element can crack and water may get inside, which poses a shock hazard when the griddle is plugged in.

No injuries have been reported.

If you have one of the affected griddles, you should immediately unplug it and return it to the store for a full refund.
