Republican Rep.Darrell Issa, whose 49th Congressional district includes parts of San Diego and Riverside Counties, told NBC4's Conan Nolan that Romney needs to show his "can-do" attitude to voters.
As the Republican party began its lead-up to Mitt Romney's speech accepting the party's presidential nomination in Tampa Thursday night, it was clear that one of the goals of the evening was to reach out to Latinos.

Romney's son, Craig Romney offered a few lines in Spanish about his father, saying that Mitt Romney was a good man and a good grandfather who "loves our country."
That was followed by a video featuring prominent Latino Republicans and ending with the Spanish word "juntos," which means "together."
The party also continued its efforts to reach out to women, playing the song "My Girl" as people entered the convention hall, and positioning conservatives Newt and Calista Gingrich next to each other on the podium. The pair traded lines back and forth as they shared a speech.
But observers on both sides of the political spectrum said that Romney's task Thursday night and throughout the campaign goes beyond such gestures.
"Mitt Romney needs to tell us his vision," said Republican Congressman Darrell Issa, who represents parts of San Diego and Riverside Counties. "His can-do attitude needs to come through."
