2015 Boston Marathon Registration Opening

Registration for the 2015 Boston Marathon is opening Monday morning.

The Boston Athletic Association says that the online-only registration will open at 10 a.m.

Organizers plan to accept 30,000 entrants for the 2015 run, the third largest field in the race's 119-year history. The marathon saw 36,000 runners this spring, which marked the first race since three people were killed and more than 260 people were injured when two pressure cooker bombs exploded by the finish line in 2013.

The Boston Athletic Association will not provide an anticipated date for when the race caps out at the maximum amount of runners, but their Facebook page and Twitter account will indicate is registration is open or closed.

The registration fee for qualifies is $175 of U.S. residents and $225 for international residents.
