Chris Paul Has Some Unkind Words for Sasha

Sasha Vujacic had a rough night against the Hornets. In addition to the fact that he was limited to just 10 minutes of playing time due to foul trouble, Chris Paul added insult to injury by apparently annoying Sasha with some not-so-nice words throughout the contest. The OC Register's Kevin Ding has the details:

Vujacic’s unique resume that already featured being choked by Carmelo Anthony now includes being called by Paul a five-letter word that starts with “B.”

That’s what Vujacic said Paul called him late in New Orleans’ victory over the Lakers on Tuesday night.

“He called me names on numerous occasions,” Vujacic said.

There are worse things that Sasha has probably been called on the basketball court, but still, the combination of Paul's comments and the struggle to play through some unfriendly officiating had him pretty frustrated following his team's loss.

Sasha picked up a technical foul late for yelling back at Paul, when he insisted all he did was ask him to repeat what he said. Of course, that was just one call from the officials that Sasha took issue with, as he felt they were against him the entire game.

“It’s just hard to play when you play against more than five people on the floor,” Vujacic said.

Complaining about the officials is sour grapes; that stuff will even out over the course of the season. And while Paul may have gotten over on Sasha with his words on the court, Vujacic's parting shot may have a little more of a lasting sting for the entire Hornets team.

“It’s one game,” Vujacic said. “We’re playing for a championship. They might be playing for this game.”
