Dodgers' Yasiel Puig Investigated by MLB After Fight at Miami Nightclub

Yasiel Puig suffered a swollen eye and facial lacerations after an incident at a Miami nightclub on Wednesday night led to an all out brawl.

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was involved in a fight at a Miami nightclub on Wednesday night, according to the Associated Press.

A representative for the Miami Police Department says that Puig suffered a swollen left eye and facial lacerations in the incident, after he was asked to leave the club by security.

Reportedly, Puig sucker punched a bouncer and busted his lip before being restrained by numerous security guards outside the club.

The incident occurred at Blue Martini nightclub in Miami where Puig was having a drink with his sister on Wednesday night, the eve of Thanksgiving. Witnesses claim that Puig got into a verbal argument with his sister and things escalated to the point where he pushed her.

Once Puig made contact with his sister, security rushed over and asked Puig to leave the premises. That's when things got violent as Puig refused to leave and was dragged out by multiple security guards before he punched one of them, setting off the melee.

Cops were called to the scene, but neither side wanted to press charges. The MLB is currently investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, the Dodgers have not released a statement on the incident and calls placed to Puig and his representatives have not been returned.
