For the past two seasons, the Walnut High School football team has been slightly different most other squads in their area -- they have a girl on their football team.
Nikki McKee is the place kicker for the Mustangs and despite the unconventional nature of the situation, she has become part of the team.
"They're just like my brothers, they take care of me and they watch out for me," McKee said.
After the coaches saw her playing soccer with some friends a few years ago, they thought they had something special. The coaches had her kick some field goals to see what she had, and after they saw her hit from 42 yards, they knew they had something special.
The Mustangs haven't been to the championship in a while, but McKee hopes that this is their year.
