Former NBA Player Gilbert Arenas Banned From Hoops at OC Fair

So what happens when former NBA star Gilbert Arenas visits the Orange County Fair and plays the basketball shooting games? He gets banned.

Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas visited the Orange County Fair over the weekend, but basketball game operators screamed "no fair" after the ex-pro apparently beat every game and claimed just about every prize imaginable.

Arenas' kids appear to be the biggest winners, but according to the star's Instagram account, game operators apparently banned the ex-NBA All-Star after he had already claimed a rather hefty haul of furry prizes.

For those wondering, Arenas' use of the hashtag "Hibachi" references his on-court habit of screaming "Hibachi" as he released a shot--typically a three-pointer. More often than not, he made those shots, too. Arenas has not been in the NBA since 2012, so it would be easy to forget that the 33-year-old once played well enough to secure a six-year, $111 million contract with the Washington Wizards. Injuries and off-court problems--most notably guns in the locker room--stunted the talented shooting guard's career on and off the court. Considering his career earnings, though, Arenas should be equally able to walk into a store and buy these furry animals and a few more.

What was the greater point of all this? First of all, the kids look happy enough to balance out any pain felt by the carnival game operators. Second, the ex-professional proved once and for all that the rims at the fair are beatable--at least at the Orange County Fair.
