Wesley Korir's favorite mile of the LA Marathon is Mile 24. But what about the participants who will not be going for their third consecutive win March 20?

Using MyFavoriteMile.com, 2010 participants rated the course mile-by-mile. The start and finish are among the favorites.

Mile 25 has the most votes (55), followed by Mile 26 (37) and Mile 1 (26).

At Korir's favorite mile, the course winds into Santa Monica along San Vicente. It's where he pulled away to win the 2010 event.

The course continues through Santa Monica before turning south along Ocean Boulevard just after Mile 25. Mile 26 and the finish are just north of the Santa Monica Pier.

Runners also can share comments on their favorite miles. Here's one on Mile 26.

"Once I rounded the corner onto Ocean I could feel the breeze and I could see the finish line. I had imagined it in my head so many times and here it was. This was my first marathon ever and it was such an emotional and wonderful experience. -- Maggie"
