The Los Angeles Lakers will play at the Forum for the  first time since 1999 Oct. 9 when they face the Golden State Warriors in an  exhibition game in connection with team's 50th anniversary in Los Angeles.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 at Ticketmaster outlets,  online at ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 4-NBA-TIX. They will be priced  at $13, $24, $34, $40, $58, $85.50, $103 and $133.

"Visiting the Forum for the game is the perfect way to launch the  celebration of 50 years of Lakers basketball in Los Angeles," said Jeanie  Buss, the Lakers executive vice president of business operations.

The Forum was built by the late Jack Kent Cooke, the Lakers' second  owner in Los Angeles, after a spat with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum  Commission over ownership of Los Angeles' National Hockey League expansion  team.

The Lakers made their debut at the Forum on Dec. 31, 1967 with a 147-118  victory over the San Diego Rockets. The Lakers' most recent game at the Forum  was a 112-100 loss to the Phoenix Suns in an exhibition game on Oct. 22, 1999,  shortly before their move to their current home, Staples Center.
