Will Ferrell vs Mats Wilander: Best. Idea. Ever.

When it comes to ridiculous sports personas, we've seen Will Ferrell as a basketball player, figure skater, cheerleader and even a racecar driver.

But what we haven't seen is Will Ferrell the tennis player.

Or at least we think we haven't seen his tennis shtick -- with 140 episodes of SNL under his belt, it's possible he snuck in a tennis sketch or two.

Be that as it may, this weekend will be the official opportunity to see Ferrell on the court.

The comedian will take on Swedish tennis legend Mats Wilander at a fundraising event at UCLA. The hall of famer won eight Grand Slam titles and 33 career singles titles, according to the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

The K-Swiss Global Tennis Showdown (PDF) is scheduled for Saturday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Los Angeles Tennis Center at UCLA.

The event will benefit the Swedish School and the Sweden House in Los Angeles.
