Dickson Chumba of Kenya has won the men's race at the 2015 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
He finished the race with a time of 2 hours, 9 minutes, 25 seconds, unofficially.
"The race was good," he said.
Chumba was a relative unknown until he burst onto the scene in 2014 with a win and course record at the Tokyo Marathon.
He followed that performance with a third-place showing at the 2014 Chicago Marathon in a new personal best, 2:04:32. He did not beat that time Sunday.
Chumba said he hopes to come back next year to run a faster time.
"Maybe next year to win," he said. "I need to run maybe a faster time."
