Bank of America Website Down Again on Monday

Bank of America customers have trouble logging on.

It happened again Monday. The Bank of America website wasn't working correctly; this after problems that started last Friday.

Customers received an error message stating that that some pages were unavailable. There is a link on the site allows customers to log on, but then there are warnings that the site may be running slow.

This is the second business day that Bank of America has had trouble with its web-based banking. And, it comes after Bank of America said the problem had been fixed.

The bank has confirmed that the high-tech hang up wasn't the result of a hack, no customer information was compromised, and that over the weekend the issue had been fixed.

On Monday, the bank's website was back online just before 4 p.m. But the Charlotte, N.C.-based company hasn't explained the cause of the problem -- it's a mystery.

Last week, a plan was revealed that Bank of America was going to begin charging its customers a $5 monthly fee if they use their ATM cards as debit cards. That too is unrelated to the website problem, according to the bank.

Bank of America stock closed at $5.53 per share. That's a 50 percent drop in value from this time a year ago.
