The federal government calls it the "The Educational Resource Robot Initiative."

We call it a wise-cracking robot, probably from space.

TERRI (shorter and easier to say than The Educational Resource Robot Initiative) is a robot that seems to know everything -- especially when it comes to principles or ecology and water conservation. That's why TERRI is visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific this weekend.

TERRI serves as the spokesrobot for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. It walks, talks and dances, all in effort to gain the trust of the people of Earth through whimsy and buffoonery.

"I hope to excite people about all of the work the people at NOAA do," TERRI said through a set of crotch-level speakers.

TERRI will take your questions this weekend at the aquarium. He/she fielded some questions Friday morning.

For example, what does TERRI eat?

"My favorite food is silicon chips."

Who will be the next president of the United States?

"The next president of the United States will be the candidate with the most money."
